Although, my friends call me Monica due to my ability to be overly organized.
After working as a project manager and apparel developer for 15+ years, I left my career in the apparel industry in early 2019. It was one of the scariest decisions I’ve ever made, but it was also one of the best. That decision and the decisions leading up to it led me to my path as an OBM which I am so grateful to have found. I love the work I do now where I have been able to mesh my love of systems, operations, and project management with the vision and passion of creative entrepreneurs. This work can be challenging, but it is always so rewarding!
My husband and I are parents to 2 very busy boys. You will often find us at the basketball court or ball field cheering them on; I’m usually the loudest (yes, I’m that mom!). In our downtime we like to explore the wonderful parts of the Pacific NW.
As an Online Business Manager, I’ve worked with small established companies, start-ups, and e-commerce businesses. If you’ve reached a point where you need a right hand, request a call. Bonus points if you’ve got a great wine recommendation!
I give you back valuable time so you can spend it on the things that matter to you, like creating new products, taking a vacation with your family, or enjoying a hobby. You’ve earned it!
I help find the holes and create efficiencies that positively impact your bottom line.
When you try to wear all of the hats in your business, you eventually wear none. So many business owners become burnt out and quit, don’t let that be you! I’ll help bring calm to your chaos, and help you actually enjoy your business again.
Not long ago, I met a burnt-out business owner. She was missing both the proper systems and documented processes, which led to her spending much of her time performing recurring daily tasks. On the outside, she looked successful, but internally she was starting to resent her business.
When we met, instantly, I knew where we could make immediate improvements that would set her up for explosive business growth based on our conversation.
During our time together, we were able to:
- Create training manuals for existing employees to increase their skills
- Create training manuals for new employees so the onboarding process was quick and painless.
- Conduct training classes with both existing and new employees
- Document existing processes and incorporate improvements for better vendor communication
- Create templates to make many of their day-to-day functions run smoothly
Because of our work together, existing employees were cross trained and learned new skills which allowed them to help more during busy times. New employees were on-boarded more efficiently and able to feel more confident in doing their job. Management didn’t have to take valuable time out of their days to train which allowed them to focus on income-producing activities.
Communication between departments and with external vendors was positively impacted because everyone started working with the same playbook, and efficiencies increased from not having to recreate the wheel every time a new project was started. All of this also had a positive impact on the bottom line because more work was being completed in less time.
